Admist the doom and gloom of various super-stars dieing (I count about five in the last month, that no doubt we shall all miss.) and the world throwing up yet another childish tantrum of political scandals varying from british MP's stealing (see, "borrowing") money from the taxpayers to the rigged elections in iran, you can't help but appreciate good news that comes in dribbles;

Worst of the recession over.
New harry potter movie.
Lovely summer weather.
Etc.

But then there's something that smashes you in the face with a bat made of pure awesome - so you try to get up and see what it is, but it's already clubbed you into the street of disbelief before letting your concussion pass enough to realise how lucky you are to have been beaten half to death by it. I of course, talk about The (Inter?)National Airsoft Event 2009.

If your a skirmisher, this is for you - it's not a day broken into five games, it's a BLOODBATH of full-on weekend WAR. 150 Acres of private land, mixed terrain for snipers, CQB, open ground, urban sites, streams and forests. Hundreds (Rather, a Thousand) of players kitted out to bring the pain.

I'll be there and you'll be in my tommy sights.
